An affordable safari that takes you from the wilderness and savannahs of Meru to the grassland plains of the Masai Mara - home to the Big Five. This safari experience traverses the Kenyan central highlands, the Rift Valley and the northern Serengeti plains, providing many opportunities to see the Big Five, as well as many species of bird and other plains mammals. There will be game drives in Meru, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara, a guided nature walk at the Menangai Crater and a boat safari on Lake Naivasha.

Visiting the most iconic parks in Kenya; Amboseli, the Masai Mara and the wilderness of Tsavo, this safari will give you a taste of the best that Kenya has to offer. Amboseli is a photographer’s paradise with its’ great views of Kilimanjaro, herds of elephants and big cats and the Masai Mara offers a chance to see all the Big Five - and depending on the time of year the Great Wildebeest migration. There will also be a boat safari on Lake Naivasha and a day sightseeing in Nairobi which will include a visit to the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage.

The Samburu Five & Big Five Safari - 10 day safari, prices from $2,119 / £1,629 pp fb

A really diversified safari taking you through the central highlands of Kenya; visiting the Aberdares mountain range with its’ fabulous waterfalls, great views of Mount Kenya and endemic wildlife such as the mountain bongo - then onto the semi-arid Samburu with its’ unusual wildlife species known as the Samburu or Special Five, where you'll also have a great chance to spot leopard. You’ll continue onto Ol Pejeta conservancy where you’ll have a great chance to see black rhino and the last remaining northern white rhinos. The tour will then take you across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha for a boat safari before heading to the Savannah plains of the Masai Mara to track down all the Big Five.

Starting off in Tsavo and Amboseli in Kenya, you will then cross the border into Tanzania close to Kilimanjaro and head to Tarangire and the scenic gem that is Lake Manyara with it’s abundant bird life before heading to the wonderful, breathtaking natural wonder that is the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After two days of exploring you will safari to the Serengeti before crossing back into Kenya and spending three days in the iconic Masai Mara.
